Lynn Garlick began her  professional career in art in the 1970’s in Taos, New Mexico as a portrait and landscape painter. For the last eight years, Garlick has focused on drawings and small works in oils and watercolors.

 “These notes of color are an immediate response to the natural world that surrounds me. It is with great fortune and real joy that I get to be still  enough to observe the world, feeling the air,  noting the light  and working to understand and translate what is before me so that it is pleasing to look at. It is a personal experience, a kind of prayer or meditation to and celebration of, the beauty I see.”
